Bikanator

1. Bikanator

This bacon cheeseburger is undeniably iconic. However, it probably goes without saying that the Baconator isn’t great for your overall health. This burger has two burgers topped with cheese and of course lots of bacon. Bacon alone can add a significant amount of sodium to your diet, and that’s not the only health risk this processed meat poses. In total, the biconator contains 1,540 milligrams of sodium, 960 calories, and 66 grams of fat. It is better to choose something else, especially if you are looking for your heart.

2. Loaded Nacho Three Burgers

This is a new addition to Wendy’s menu. The Loaded Nacho Triple Burger arrived at Wendy’s this summer. And with jalapeno cheddar bread, queso, spicy chipotle sauce, and even delicious tortilla strips, it sure looks delicious. Unfortunately, it’s not as great for your body as it is for your taste buds. This giant burger has 1,280 calories, 87 grams of fat, and 1,930 milligrams of sodium. As Mandy Tyler, M.Ed., RD, CSSD, LD, told Eat This Not That, “The American Heart Association recommends limiting sodium intake to no more than 2,300 milligrams per day, and this burger contains almost that entire amount. “It’s daily. If you’re still hungry, it’s better to enjoy a patty burger and then a healthy snack later in the day.” Noted!

3. Dave’s Triple

While it’s certainly a classic at Wendy’s, the Dave’s Triple Cheeseburger is one you’ll want to skip if you want to keep your body as healthy as possible. These three cheeses, all cheese and stabilizers, contain 1,160 calories, 82 fat and 1,610 milligrams of sodium. Yes! If you consume this much sodium on a regular basis, you may be setting yourself up for a range of health complications, including heart disease. Maybe it’s best to stick to a burger.

Wendy's Chili Cheese Fries

4. Chili cheese fries

Trust us: We love fries as much as the next person, and when you add cheese, they’re definitely hard to resist. Top with bell peppers for a delicious side dish to pair with your burger. Unfortunately, it is seriously unhealthy. At 520 calories, 27 grams of fat, and 1,330 milligrams of sodium, this could be a meal on its own (though it wouldn’t be a very healthy one). When you combine it with another menu item, you can exceed your recommended calorie and sodium intake. Plus, once you figure out how Wendy’s chili is made, you might lose your appetite for these anyway.
