Members of the public are being warned not to take 61 vitamin and gum supplements as they may pose serious health risks.
Health Canada has issued a recall notice for all Herbaland gummy vitamins and supplements sold in bulk due to inadequate labeling.
The list of recalled products includes hair, skin and nail health gums, multivitamins, as well as sleep and pregnancy gums that were sold wholesale across Canada and had “little to none of the required labeling,” according to the recall notice released last Friday. did not have .
Health Canada said this means consumers are missing dosage instructions, ingredients and safety warnings.
A total of 61 products, sold at “various low- or no-waste bulk filler stores in Canada,” are affected by the recall.

Health Canada is warning of health risks from the recalled products if you take or exceed the maximum recommended daily dose of vitamins and minerals.
Potential consequences include minor issues such as stomach upset, nausea and vomiting, or serious health concerns including drug interactions, severe allergic reactions or anaphylaxis, and birth defects in unborn babies.
People who are vulnerable to high doses of vitamins and minerals are children with small stature and growing bodies, and pregnant women who may have negative effects on their health due to high doses of vitamin A, vitamin D, or folic acid during pregnancy. have a fetus .
