Warfighter Brain Health After Head Injury: Fact Sheet for Leaders
The fact sheet condenses the basics of recognizing, reporting and preventing head injuries in military personnel. It updates and replaces the Line Leaders’ Policy Guidance Fact Sheet and includes a list of what DOD has defined as potentially concussive events and outlines leaders’ responsibilities to ensure servicemembers are ready after a head trauma.

Warfighter Brain Health Training Video for Leaders
The video expands and enhances the information contained in the fact sheet. In addition to specific information for leaders, the video includes an introduction to the basics of TBI such as the mechanisms of brain injury, the overlapping signs and symptoms of TBI and PTSD, and how each can affect functional and operational performance. Military leaders will benefit from reviewing general diagnostic best practices and explanations of TBI clinical support tools.
