A Place At Homes, in-home care service for seniors opens in Englewood – Englewood Herald

A Place At Home, a provider of non-medical in-home care for seniors, opened in Englewood on November 2.

Owner Adriana Francis said At Place At Home is a non-medical health agency where people don’t come to us, we come to them, Francis said.

This would be where our customers reside, which could potentially be their home, or their children’s home or independent living communities, Francis said. We are not an establishment in terms of the number of beds we bring to them.

She said the services provided include 24-hour care, companionship, lifestyle services, medication reminder services and health care coordination.

Francis said his facility will offer these services to people in various communities, including Lakewood, Littleton, Columbine, Englewood and Ken Caryl.

The Francis location is one of several locations in the A Place At Home franchise, founded by childhood friends Dustin Distefano and Jerod Evanich in Omaha, Nebraska, in 2012.

Francis said she wants to make a difference and help people every day through her agency.

I see how our work dramatically improves the quality of life and we then move our clients from surviving to thriving because we make that difference and they are in the places they love. They are in their house. That’s where they want to stay, Francis said.

Francis said that while the main priority is to help in residents’ homes, A Place At Home also provides assistance in transitioning to the next stage of life if one can no longer live alone or with family in due to health and safety concerns.

According to a press release announcing the new services, Francis is transitioning from her role as policy advisor on long-term care eligibility within the Medicaid Operations Office (MOO), Health Care Policy and Financing (HCPF ) for the state of Colorado. and operate this facility.

Francis was also a case manager for the Denver Regional Council of Governments.

The release said Francis is originally from Mexico and came to Colorado in 1993 when she was in third grade and has lived in the southwest Denver metro ever since.

She said she chose this place because it was the community where she grew up.

These people and these neighborhoods raised me, she said in the press release. I want to pay it forward by helping older people age safely by listening to them, understanding their needs and providing them with the best care possible.

Francis said she hopes people will use her services as soon as possible because, in her experience, people usually wait until the last minute to seek help.

No one likes to say they need help. We are much more than that, we are defenders. We are here to help them every step of the way, Francis said. We are there to take them shopping for the grandbabies. We are there to go to a party with them so the family can enjoy time together and then we can accompany the client.

Francis said she hopes to provide additional support to seniors since there aren’t enough services for them and hopes to become an educator and valuable resource in the future.

She said A Place At Home ultimately exists to keep people safe in their homes.

I am thrilled to have Adriana join our family of franchises,” said Dustin Distefano, CEO and co-founder of A Place At Home, in the press release. His extensive experience and deep commitment to providing compassionate care make him an excellent fit for our brand. We look forward to seeing his business grow and more southwest Denver residents receiving the high-quality care they deserve.”

A Place At Home-Denver South Metro is located at 333 W Hampden Ave, Suite 615 in Englewood.
